Zones are always merging, when overlapping?

Dieses Thema wurde zuletzt von JS774041 am 2025-8-1 02:55 bearbeitet

Hello,
I would like to mow my grass at different heights.
The outline of the area at 6 cm forming a 1,5m wide "frame" around the "infield", which is 4 cm.
The frame merges with the infield, when i tried to use 2 zones in one map without a gap between the 2.
I could use two maps, but that it is not efficient, as 80% of the time its mowing at 6cm cutting height over 4cm tall grass.

Has anyone found a solution, is there a feature in the app that i missed?

Hello,

When zones overlap, they will automatically merge into one. Please check if the edge obstacle avoidance switch is enabled. This switch is located in the cutting preferences on the app's device page and is enabled by default. When activated, the MOVA 600/1000 will actively avoid obstacles at the edges, which might leave more grass uncut. If you turn it off, the radar obstacle avoidance will not be used when mowing along edges, reducing uncut edges but possibly resulting in some collisions. You can choose to enable it based on your needs.

You can also enable the automatic angle adjustment feature. This changes the mowing angle each time to effectively avoid uncut spots. At the lawn edges, MOVA 600/1000 will leave about an 11 cm mowing distance. We will continue to optimize this distance through future firmware updates.

Additional tips:

If the height difference at the edge of the lawn is less than 3 cm, you can map on the line to ensure a clean cut.
If there are no obstacles at the edge, you can turn off the "avoid obstacles along edges" setting in the mowing settings to reduce uncut grass due to obstacle avoidance.
You can also use the manual mowing mode to remotely mow the edges.
