[Z50 Ultra] Flat Obstacle

Last edited by HG813225 on 2025-6-19 16:27

Hello, I want to replace my current roller robot (Cecotec Conga 12090) with a new one.

I'm hesitating between the Z50 Ultra (or Z60 Ultra) and the competition (Ecovacs).

Attached are some photos showing the limitations of roller systems with flat obstacles.

The mop wrings out on the obstacle (which acts as a squeegee) and leaves large streaks.

Could you please tell me if the small side roller on the Z50 Ultra could correct this (as this would allow me to stick with a roller robot)?

Wouldn't the mini rotating brush break on this type of obstacle (over time)?

Would the extendable rollers like on the Z60 Ultra (or the competition) handle this better?

Or should I upgrade to a V50 Ultra (which I find less efficient at cleaning)?

I can't afford to change robots often, so I'd like to replace my old robot with a new one that corrects this problem, as I'm otherwise satisfied with the cleaning and vacuuming.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Hello, and thank you for reaching out to us with your detailed query about replacing your current Cecotec Conga 12090 robot. We appreciate you sharing the photos of your flooring obstacles—it helps us provide more tailored advice based on your specific environment.
Since the Z60 Ultra requires waiting for its release and is not yet available on the market, we cannot recommend or provide specific advice on this model at this time.

Regarding your questions:
1. Z50 Ultra's small side roller: After reviewing your photos and description, we observed that the obstacles on your floor have a slight gap from the ground. This gap could cause the small roller on the Z50 Ultra to get caught and potentially tear off over time.

2. V50 Ultra as an alternative: For the issue of water streaks left by the mop on obstacles, our testing indicates that this can occur with any roller or mop system. However, the circular mop pads on the V50 Ultra tend to perform slightly better in reducing such streaks, as they may not "squeegee" as much against flat obstacles.
To help you make an informed decision without risk, our official store offers a free return and exchange service (please contact customer service for details). We suggest purchasing and test it in your home environment—you can compare its performance firsthand and return it if it doesn't meet your needs.

We understand your desire for a long-term solution that corrects the cleaning issues, and we're here to support you. If you have further questions, feel free to reply!

Maybe low obstacle avoidance strategies, or the ability to set the height of the rotating disc on certain areas, will come with new updates!
