Hi everyone,
I’m trying to get my Mova V50 Ultra Complete to go under a low kitchen cabinet (photo attached). The clearance is tight, but the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra — which is actually taller — manages to pass under it just fine
With the Mova, though, the LiDAR doesn’t retract at all in that spot. The robot approaches the cabinet, bumps into it with the LiDAR, then backs away.
I know there’s a way to manually mark low-clearance areas in the app, but I really don’t want to do that in this case. When I mark the zone manually, the robot first starts cleaning it in “normal mode,” then retracts the LiDAR mid-clean, and continues cleaning in low-profile mode. The problem is, by then, the main brush has already picked up dirt and once it switches modes, the brush throws the dirt all over the floor — right in the middle of the room. It’s really messy and not how it’s supposed to work.
Is there a way to make the LiDAR retract before entering this kind of area? Or maybe a way to improve detection of low furniture zones without having to rely on the manual tool?
Thanks a lot in advance TranslateView Original Text
