V50 won't stay in dock to charge...

i recently purchased a V50- it worked great for a month, then stopped being able to stay in the dock to recharge; it would dock and then exit again almost immediately. the battery got low and now wont dock/ recharge.

so far, i have:
- cleaned all the sensors on the device and dock.
- made sure software was up to date.
- changed all the pads and brushes.
- made sure there are no obstructions and the vacuum bag is empty.
- thoroughly cleaned the dock interior.
- made sure all the device wheels are working and free of obstruction.
- power cycled the dock and made sure it was plugged in properly.
- manually placed device back in dock, it turns on, then leaves dock, and shuts down due to low battery.
- reset the device. battery is so low i cant turn it on long enough to scan to connect to software again.

please advise, this is very frustrating, and from what i've read online, a persistent problem.
