Robot gone rogue

This is the third run through the house since purchasing the robot. I asked got a Genius clean of the entire house. It started with washing as usual, then clean, but 50cm from the base station it returned to charge (?), after a minute it skipped room 1 and I thought… ok I guess it’s doing the carpet first. But then it went to do totally random paths…! It also went twice around the carpet without showing a trace of doing that. I upload two pictures. Anybody else has had this? It’s a little quick for this one expensive to break down. I hope it’s just software.

Hello, based on the map screenshot, it’s possible that there are too many obstacles in that area. We recommend trying to start a cleaning task in a more open room to see if the robot resumes normal operation.

These are the ‘obstacles’ that we’re dealing with. A carpet that it otherwise just vacuums and a sofa it can pass underneath of. I’ve learnt that when use the Genius the robot does whatever and doesn’t seem to follow any logic. But when I choose custom cleaning it works fine. So this seems rather software related.
