MOVA ViAX 600 does not mow along edging stones, utility cover or tree ring

Hello,

We recently purchased a MOVA ViAX 600 for our lawn, which is approximately 100 m².

We have installed flat edging stones around the entire lawn so that the robotic mower can drive partly onto them and cut all the grass along the outer edge.

There is also a utility access cover in the lawn measuring approximately 1.5 × 1.5 metres. In addition, we have a tree surrounded by a flat robotic mower tree ring, which is designed to allow the mower to cut the grass close to the tree.

We have created the lawn map manually several times. During mapping, we:

* Drove the mower on top of the edging stones around the entire outer boundary of the lawn.
* Drove the mower manually around the utility cover, with part of the mower on the cover and part on the grass.
* Drove the mower around the tree ring, with part of the mower on the ring and part on the grass.

We have created several new maps and set the edge extension/distance setting to 20 cm. We have now been trying to resolve this for almost two weeks.

However, the mower still does not drive onto the edging stones when cutting the outer boundary. It also does not cut closely around the utility cover or the tree ring. This leaves strips of longer grass around all these edges, even though the rest of the lawn is cut properly.

We have also tried using automatic boundary detection, but this function will not start.

Could you please explain exactly how we should create and configure the map so that the mower:

1. Drives onto the flat edging stones and cuts the outer edge of the lawn.
2. Drives partly onto the utility cover and cuts the grass around it.
3. Drives partly onto the tree ring and cuts the grass closely around the tree.
4. Successfully starts automatic boundary detection, if this is required.

We would appreciate detailed step-by-step instructions for the MOVAhome app. Please also confirm whether accessible zones, shapes, no-go zones or any other map settings should be used for the utility cover and tree ring.

Good morning. We do not have this specific model for the time being. Based on your description, are you inquiring about the ViAX 500 robotic mower from the ViAX series?
The ViAX series is equipped with a function that allows the boundary offset to be extended outward by several centimetres, which we recommend you try adjusting.
If the height difference between the edging stones and the lawn is very slight, mark those areas as accessible zones on the map.
For the tree rings that cannot be trimmed closely around the trunk, you may set those areas as no-go zones. The robot will still mow right along the outer perimeter of the no-go zones to achieve edge trimming.
Regarding the automatic boundary detection feature, please check whether you have enabled the corresponding experimental option under the three-dot menu in the Lab page to resolve this issue.
We look forward to your further feedback after testing these settings.
