Frustrated with multifloor operation

Have been loving the V50 for my main floor where the base is placed. However, trying to use it for the upper level and its bring a real pain!

I have successfully mapped the “upstairs” - no problem. I’ve moved the robot only upstairs, applied the upstairs map - fine.

Now I select the custom mode - room order and room by room options. I have 2 bathrooms I want to vac and mop. The rest are carpeted rooms. I’ve told the robot to start with one of the baths - vac and mop (room 1). I then ask it to do an adjoining closet (carpet). Then the bedroom, and so on. The 2nd bath is room 5. There are 7 rooms in total.

When I start the clean process the bot immediately heads to the first bath - room 1 - great. But - It pauses at the threshold, then turns around and heads to the 2nd bath - room 5. It noses into room 5 then turns around and begins vacuuming the corridor (room 4). Makes no sense!

I’ve ended the cleaning process and restarted it multiple times - exact same result. Cycled the power on the bot, etc. Same! I have vac carpets first turned off and it’s not required to drop pads for the carpets.

What am I missing??? Thx!!

Ok - I think I figured out the issue. I needed to turn off the auto detachment and installation of mop pads. Not sure why this is necessary in “Vac and mop” mode - as the bot can lift up the pads when vacuuming the carpet. Nonetheless, it seems to be behaving now.

Only thing I’m not yet sure of is if I’ll need to turn it back on for the main floor - since that’s my preferred mode. Or, can I somehow set that up as a custom mode? If not - seems we should have more “per map” or per floor settings.

Hello, it is possible that there is an obstacle at the entrance of the room or a high reflection blocking the robot's access, causing it to not clean in order.

Three dots in the upper right corner > Carpet Settings > Carpet Lift > More Settings > Carpet Lift
