[Z50 Ultra] Insufficient cleaning performance

Issue 1: The robot keeps distance from the plinth under our kitchen cabinets, and skipping debris. Not sure whether it is a firmware issue, it seems like the robot cannot extend the retractable side brush.

Issue 2: The curtain mode does not work. Only where the robot accidentally pushed the curtain away, it will add that space to the map and clean it every cycle. The robot avoids thr remainder of the space near the curtain.

I hope the future firmware will give the possibility to indicate on the map cleaning sides or walls more thorough.

I have tried several setting changes. How to fix these issues?

Hello,

Regarding the issue of the robot keeping distance from the plinth under your kitchen cabinets, please try wiping the edge sensors on the right side of the robot with a soft, dry cloth. Make sure that the edge sensors are not blocked by any obstacles or objects.

After that, please turn off the Collision‑avoidance mode to see if the situation improves.

You can find it here:
Top‑right corner (three dots) → Floor Cleaning Settings → Collision‑avoidance mode

At the same time, please set the Mop Extension Frequency to High.

Regarding the issue where the robot does not enter the curtain area, if the curtain is long and the bottom space is too low, the robot may mistakenly recognize the curtain as a wall, preventing it from entering the area for cleaning.

We recommend rolling up the curtain or fixing it higher to improve the cleaning performance around that area.
