Forum Suggestions Thread

Hi, it's me again.

In this post, i will explain why it is important to keep a forum up to date, when it comes down to visibility, daily visits, publishing of posts, leveling up, interacting and more.

One thing is sure.. MOVA did an amazing job by opening up the official forum, as is a direct way to express yourself and tell the support, or the team, anything you wish, related to their products.
BUT.. there is a but.

Actually, the forum lacts many features, and bunch more are vague or poorly implemented.

One for example is the character limit for a single comment.
I needed to write 3/4 comments, as i wasn't able to write into a single one, which makes commenting even more frustating and annoying, and maybe that's also the reason behind not many users interacting around.

Another issue is that there is absolutely zero security, or bad words filter, or any check, before you can publish a post.
Usually, in most websites, you do have a profanity filter inside the settings, and your posts needs to be approved by a moderator to verify it is valid and doesn't contain anything out of the ordinary.

Talking about freedom, the website doesn't have the opportunity to change it's theme to dark, or neither changing background wallpaper, which as relaxing as it could be, is a blank white kinda cream background.

When you visit the homepage of the forum, you basically get access to an infinite scrolling of posts, which technically are separated by categories, tho.. those categories get ignored and it could lead the user to confusion, not finding the correct path.
I would suggest making more clear the categories and letting the user itself choosing to visit each sub-category, like with most other websites out there.
I know you can already do that from up-top, but is too clugged inside just 3/4 buttons, the design itself of the forum seems too empty, blank.

Missing emojis and formatting characters when writing a new post/comment, you will see emojis only after you wrote and sent, even tho you didn't want.
Missing underlined, bold and other type of modification to the text, as maybe people want you to read specifically one sentence or one name and want to center it, making it more visible.

Missing 2FA methods for logging into MOVA account, which.. even tho is only an account for electronics in your home, it is important to keep even those ones protect.
Missing privacy settings, which would allow the user to hide it's post/contents from who visit that profile and maybe is not friend with that user in particular, or even who can contact that user.

Would be even a PLUS adding features such as community leaderboards and profile badges, to increase user activity, posting and creating new challenges.

For now that's all, if i will have new ideas, will be posted in the same thread.
